It runs and idles very smooth. I noticed a couple minor leaks from a couple water hoses but they were an easy fix too. So we put it in the water to see how it ran (the hose just couldn't keep up with it). It ran great in the water, but there was a vibration from the outdrive. The prop is as old as the boat and pretty dinged up so I'm going to put a new prop on and try that. Now all I habe to do is put my $16.00 ebay Humminbird fish finder on it and I'm good to go !! FOR 2 WEEKS… then my wife, 2 sons, and our dog got stuck 5.5 KM from our dock… thank to some local folk, they towed us back in… (after $50 'donation') Instead of calling this dude, I took the boat to the local Marina, where they discovered the Compression was shot (45%), and the flywheel was loose… something the mechanic said I could not do with only 2 1/2 hours of usage. Well I contacted this dude, and his wife threatened me with harrasment, so lesson learned - I should have just donated my money instead I got ripped!!! Well, after all is said and done… my wife and I can laugh about it… cause in 2 weeks I am off to Ottawa to get a NEW used boat… this time the GENTLEMEN is allowing me to take the boat to a Marina and have it checked out first - if all is well, I pay him - and it is off to the lake!!! This seems to be the best way to go, if you are buying used off the Internet. More fun to follow, I will continue to update you folks on the ‘fun’ part of boating - once I get to it!! Cheers! Boat of course would not start… and according to this fella - it was my fault cause it was not in neutral… sure, once we were towed back to the dock, 4 different guys attempted to start the boat… no go…. well then we called this fella… More to come in PART 2 (and it just keeps getting better) I can fill you in on buying Used Boats in Ontario…
